Sergeant Ryan Nelson said two drivers were pulled over at random intercepts and returned readings over the legal limit early on Friday morning.
He said the first came at 1.55am when officers intercepted a 31-year-old male from Portland. “He returned a reading .078,” Sergeant Nelson said.
“The second was at 4.50am in Heywood, where officers intercepted a 41-year-old man from New South Wales. He returned a reading of .085.”
Sergeant Nelson said it was a sorry start to the weekend and warned officers were on the road at all hours of the day and night.
