McGann, 31, defeated Melbourne-based Ashlea Andrews in a three-set battle, 6-1, 5-7, 6-3.
The pair will face off again in Geelong pennant semi-finals this weekend.
McGann said the Warrnambool final, which took a tick over two hours, was a see-sawing battle.
“She (Andrews) had a little bit of a slow start but started to make her shots in the second set and played really well so I had to fight back in the third,” she said.
McGann said her ground strokes and slice backhand helped her grind out the win and counter Andrews’ dominance on serve.
“She had a big serve happening and it got her a lot of free points as well,” she said.
McGann said she was sore after the final, having played two three-set games on Sunday, as well as the women’s doubles final.
She teamed with Karen Filippou to win the women’s doubles title.
“It turned out to be a very good weekend,” McGann said.
“I have been coming here a very long time.
“I like playing on grass courts and a lot of my friends from Geelong come up and play a bit of tennis.”
