The trucks have started rolling into Warrnambool ahead of a show at Premier Speedway on March 1 and promotions and operations officer Rusty Bell said they were busy visiting local schools, showing off the monster trucks and spreading an anti-bullying message.
Mr Bell said they always tried to “spread the love” at each town they visited.
“The kids love seeing the trucks, so we give them a little bit of a talk about listening to their teachers and parents and treating all other people with respect,” Mr Bell said.
“We just sort of bounce off each other. The drivers get the kids all fired up and then I spread the fellowship message.
“Having the truck there is a great way to get the kids engaged.”
Mr Bell said the trucks would be on show in various spots around town in the lead-up to the show.
He said it had been six years since monster trucks were last in Warrnambool and so far the response had been great.
“It’s going to be a big show. We have the trucks, a jet van and freestyle motocross riders and a huge fireworks show.
“Premier Speedway is a top venue and we can guarantee that if we have the support of the community, Warrnambool won’t have to wait another six years for a show like this.”
