Charity house launched

MORE than 140 people have assembled in north Warrnambool this morning for the launch of the Peter's Project Charity House.

Builders Bryan and Petersen will construct the home on land donated by the St Joseph's Warrnambool Catholic Parish.

Dozens of tradesmen will donate their labour with a range of local businesses also contributing materials for free.

Premier Denis Napthine told the assembled crowd that the initiative was a tribute to Warrnambool's community spirit.

More in tomorrow's edition of The Standard.
