Premier Speedway officials today confirmed Schatz, 36, would contest the three-night showcase at the Allansford track from January 24 to 26.
It will be Schatz's first entry in the Premier Speedway event since 2005.
The North Dakota native won the event in 2001 and 2002 and has since reinforced his reputation as one of the best drivers the sport has seen.
He won his seventh Knoxville Nationals title in eight years in 2013 with the greatest drive in race history, rising from 21st to first in the 50-lap A-main.
The performance prompted runner-up Brian Brown to lament: "What he did tonight will never, ever, ever happen again in the history of racing."
Schatz is also a five-time World of Outlaws champion, in 2006-09 and 2012, and is fourth on the list of A-main wins since the series began in 1978.
