Holidays Actors will perform High School Musical on Stage! over four consecutive nights from January 15 as well as a matinee on January 18.
The cast of 50, which includes about 14 new members, began rehearsals in October.
Co-director Greta Punch, who is working alongside Emma Miller, said she was looking forward to opening night.
“It’s a show I’ve secretly wanted to direct for a while...it’s an excellent family show that the kids love performing,” Miss Punch said.
She said the cast had been working hard to make the show a success.
“They’re a really excellent team and they all get along together which is super important when you’ve got so much to get done in a show like this.
Miss Punch said working with Emma Miller had been rewarding and a learning experience.
“It’s actually my second time after directing Hairspray last year,” Miss Punch said.
“It’s a huge amount of work and I didn’t think I’d direct two years in a row, but the satisfaction of putting on such a massive project is amazing.
“Emma Miller has directed a lot more productions than I have, with Warrnambool College, Brauer College, and Holiday Actors, so it’s great to see how someone else plans and directs too.”
She said audiences could expect a quality, family show to enjoy during the school holidays.
For every ticket sold $1 will be donated to Peter’s Project.
Tickets are available from the Lighthouse Theatre on 5559 4885.
