Senior Constable Ian McNiven of Coleraine police said the accident occurred during wind and rain.
He said it was also believed the condition of the vehicle’s tyres was a contributing factor to the accident.
The vehicle was travelling west on the Glenelg Highway about 1.25pm when it slid out, hit an embankment and rolled over. It sustained moderate damage.
Senior Constable McNiven said police inquiries were continuing.
