It follows his win in a restricted race at Terang on Saturday.
Let Them Have It defeated Vihanna Victory by nearly two lengths with Just Call Me Bruce five lengths away in third spot in the $15,000 race over 1850 metres.
Ryan said he would weigh up a Woodford Cup start against a run in a $80,000 race at Moonee Valley next Saturday for the seven-year-old’s next run.
“I’ll make up my mind which way I go early in the week,” the former jumps jockey said.
“It was a good win at Terang. I was pretty pleased with his effort but we did get conditions to suit as there was a lot of rain at Terang. He loves tracks with a bit of give in them.”
Saturday’s win was Let Them Have It’s second victory from 11 starts for Ryan after the galloper was purchased from a Sydney trainer.
“Our long-term plan was to jump Let Them Have It,” he said.
“He won his first start for us over 1400 metres at Warrnambool in March this year.
“I thought this is all right but he failed when we lifted him up in distance.
“We gave him a break and he came back into work really well.
“He’s been consistent this campaign and was probably unlucky not to have won another race.
“We’ve gradually lifted him up in distance and he seems to appreciate it.
“We still might look at jumping him but while he’s running well on the flat we’ll stay there.”
The win of Let Them Have It gave talented jockey Dean Yendall the third of his three wins on the seven-race card.
Yendall gave Ryan a positive report after the victory.
“Dean suggested we keep him around the 1800 to 2000-metre mark at this stage of his campaign,” Ryan said.
“He added the horse hit the line really well which is encouraging.”
Yendall’s other two winners were hot favourite Catherine Louise and Lagello.
Former Warrnambool-based jockey Nikita Beriman shared in the Christmas spoils riding two winners.
She was successful on Deduct and Ninesmine.
