Sebastian Good, Emily Bartlett, Jason Pritchard, Klara Torneus, Jane Fenton, Brittany Leach, Holly Windahl, Mitchell Gristede and Robert Gleeson all qualified for the six-day Melbourne-based competition.
They are among a 21-strong Warrnambool contingent which will tackle the competition, which starts on Saturday.
Warrnambool coach Jayson Lamb said the club had 26 swimmers qualify, with five unable to attend the meeting.
He said the club averaged between two and three long-course state debutants and it was thrilled with its bumper crop.
Lamb said fellow coach Josh Sobey had worked with the up-and-coming swimmers.
“They have all had steady improvement and I didn’t expect to have such a big influx, I must admit, not eight at state level,” he said.
“They are all under 14, so it is really good.
“It’s really good for the future of the club.
“They all should be looking to do personal best times and they’re capable of that.”
Lamb said Fraser Harrison and Blake Turner were strong chances to medal.
“Fraser Harrison is our best chance at finals and medals,” he said.
“There is some real good competition coming from Japan, so I am looking forward to seeing how the older kids hold up against the visitors.”
The state age championships start on Saturday and run until Thursday.
