Director Val Powell of Port Campbell said the play was an “over-the-top” comedy spoof of Agatha Christie’s murder mysteries.
The comedy’s cast of 10 featured all the favourite Agatha Christie characters, but with a comic twist.
“There’s the clumsy inspector, there’s the French art director,” Ms Powell said.
She said the plot gave away few clues as to who the murderer was until the end.
The cast, which includes a mix of seasoned amateurs and some new to theatre, has been rehearsing since September.
Ms Powell is a veteran director with numerous productions for the Timboon Theatre Group and other theatrical companies to her credit.
The play will have its opening night from 8pm on Thursday at the Scotts Creek Hall.
Murdered to Death will also be performed on Friday and Saturday and again next week on Thursday, Friday and Saturday at the same time. A matinee will also be performed from 1pm next Wednesday for elderly people.
Ms Powell said the hall would accommodate bookings for tables of up to 10 people, with patrons welcome to bring drinks and nibbles.
Bookings can be made with Jo-Jo’s in Timboon.
