Selena Gore, 29, of Ryot Street, Warrnambool, yesterday appeared in Warrnambool Magistrates Court for a contest mention.
She has pleaded not guilty to charges of theft and possessing the proceeds of crime.
Police allege that Ms Gore worked at Micheli Jewellers in 2011 and 2012 and is suspected of stealing earrings and donating them to a Rotary club in Warrnambool.
The prosecution alleges that three sets of earrings were donated to Rotary, valued at a total of more than $6000.
The possessing the proceeds of crime charge relates to a set of earrings donated to a Merrivale Football Club charity auction.
Police allege some of the earrings were identified by the shop owner.
The case has been listed to be contested on October 3.
A solicitor for Ms Gore said there was no argument that her client had donated earrings to charities.
The solicitor also requested that inventory and stock records from the store be made available.
The prosecution is expected to call up to 10 witnesses in the contested case.
