The drive to Warrnambool to show off his classic 1968 DS Safari Citroen has become an annual pilgrimage for Daylesford's John Paas.
"We go to that show every year. The car crowd are nice. It's just something we enjoy doing," Mr Paas said.
He said he had bought the car about 10 years ago, but one just wasn't enough.
"We've got three DS Citroens. They're our modern cars," he said.
"When you've got old cars you tend to have a few so that if something breaks down there's always something else."
He said he had a Safari wagon and two sedans and they drive the Citroen around as their everyday car.
"The Citroens are just really well engineered cars. If you keep them in good condition. They basically last forever," Mr Paas said.
"They're built incredibly strong. They were expensive cars in their day."
Mr Paas said the car is in almost original condition, apart from a paint job about 10 years ago.
"They were very good rally cars," he said.
