A Cudgee couple welcomed Warrnambool's first baby for 2022, just in the nick of time.
Johnny Jones, the first child for Erin and Steven Jones, was born at 11.45pm on January 1.

The 2.9 kilogram bundle of joy will also share a birthday with his father, who turned 34 on the day.
But the proud new dad is not worried that his son stole his thunder.
"Steve's stoked," Mrs Jones said.
She was due to give birth on January 4 but had to be induced when she developed preeclampsia.
"I had to get induced about lunchtime," Mrs Jones said.
However, midwives joked that Johnny must have been "happy in there" because Mrs Jones was still in labour about 8pm.
She gave birth to her healthy boy via caesarean at 11.45pm.
Mrs Jones said the January 1 date and the shared birthday with his dad made his arrival even more special.
"We're thinking it's a good sign and hope it leads to a better year than last year," she said.
Mrs Jones said the staff at South West Healthcare had been "incredible".
"They've been phenomenal," she said.
"We've had a really awesome experience with all the staff up here.
"We're so grateful."
Mrs Jones said family members were yet to meet Johnny, with no visitors allowed at the hospital due to the coronavirus pandemic.
However, her mother and sister are eagerly awaiting the trio's arrival home in Cudgee on Wednesday for a snuggle with their new grandson and nephew.
Mr Jones family members are also hoping to meet Johnny later this week.
