Family bragging rights are finally on the table for Wil and Lachlan Hinkley.
The 18-year-old twins, who play their club cricket at Nestles, have never had to face each other in a competitive match.
Placed in opposing team's for Wednesday's Warrnambool and District Cricket Association under 23 representative match, the brothers finally have the opportunity to go head-to-head.
"It's the first time, we've always been in the same teams," Lachlan said.
"It's going to be good fun," Wil added.
With Wil an opening batter, and Lachlan a medium pace swing bowler, the potential for an one-on-one showdown at the pitch is high.
"We face each other in the nets all the time," Wil said.
"But it will be completely different out in the middle, obviously with the new ball."
It will be the brothers first appearance in the under 23 representative match, with Wil playing under first-year Nestles captain Jacob Hetherington in the Blue team.
"Jacob's done a great job coming in as captain (at Nestles), it's a tough job," Wil said.
Lachlan, who will represent Team Gold under captain Bailey Jenkinson and coach Cam Williams, is excited by the opportunity to play with and against the best young talent from within the league.
"It will be good to see all the young guys around the league and how good they actually are," Lachlan said.
"And to play with guys in your own age group, it should be fun."
The match begins at 6.10pm at Merrivale Oval.
