Colac Highway Patrol officers intercepted the unregistered vehicle in Colac on January 1.
Officers intercepted the Ford sedan on Wallace Street about 5pm, after a routine check suggested the vehicle did not have current registration.

The driver was disqualified from holding a licence and was found to have an alleged breath-alcohol concentration of .155 - more than three times the legal limit.
The driver, a 33-year-old Birregurra man, will be summonsed to appear before a Magistrate for offences relating to drink-driving, driving whilst disqualified and using an unregistered motor vehicle.
The man's car was impounded for a period of 30 days at a cost of $1170.
