Owner of Warrnambool retail store Style105 Debbie Arnott said Boxing day was the perfect time to cash in vouchers received on Christmas day for those bargain buys.
"You tend to get back a lot of people with those vouchers coming back on the public holidays," she said.
"I also think that because the public holidays are falling on Monday and Tuesday this year, people will take a longer break, with lots of people taking off the Wednesday to Friday as annual leave to extend their break.
"I'm hoping they'll all come to Warrnambool.
Ms Arnott said traditionally her store remained open on Boxing Day, with items selling this year for up to 50 per cent off.
"We always open on Boxing Day because lots of tourists come into town," she said.
"Although it will be weather dependent - if the weather happens to be a bit ordinary, people will come shopping."
She is also the co-owner of Style Active by Chloe, with her daughter Chloe Williams, which will also remain open.
Ms Arnott said while she understood it may not be financially viable for some businesses to open on Boxing Day, she encouraged them to cash in on the increased foot traffic.
Another store remaining open on Boxing Day is Clancey's Menswear.
The store's owner and manager Peter Clancey thanked everyone in Warrnambool and the surrounding areas for their "great support this Christmas and through the year".
Harris Scarfe will offer 50 per cent off all manchester and homewares, 40 per cent off men's and women's clothing and 25 per cent off all electrical for three days from Sunday.
Electronics giant Harvey Norman will all slash their prices from tomorrow, with savings of up to $2000 on LG and Samsung TVs.
Buyers can pick up a LG 83" OLED Smart Tv for $6995 and a Samsung *5" for $2995, saving $2000 and $1000 respectively.
Meanwhile, the Good Guys famous boxing day KnockOut sale started before Christmas and will run through to January 3.
The electrical retailer is advertising Android 60" TVs for under $1000 and other deals on home appliances, entertainment, outdoor cooking and coffee machines.
