A last-minute decision to put on a community barbecue in Warrnambool tomorrow will fill the Christmas void for some of the city's most vulnerable.
The Warrnambool Community Christmas BBQ will be held at the Warrnambool Showgrounds from 11am on Christmas Day.

Warrnambool's Catherine Therese said there had recently been discussions in the Greater Warrnambool Good Karma Network Facebook group about the cancellation and on Wednesday night she decided to take action.
"I contacted (community christmas lunch volunteer) Mary Lancaster who gave me some really great contacts," she said.
The 24 hours that followed saw the whole community get on board, with donations coming in thick and fast from Warrnambool Food Share, Warrnambool Showgrounds, Warrnambool Agriculture Society and Browns Depot Bakery.
Ms Therese said a group of dedicated volunteers would be setting up at the showgrounds on Friday but more hands were needed.
"We're looking for more people to help set up today from 12pm," she said.
"We're also hoping to get the word out there for our most vulnerable, who don't always put their hand up for help but who deserve somewhere to come along and belong.
"We invite anyone to come and sit down, have a sausage and some cake and a chat."
Ms Therese said volunteers could rock up from 12pm Christmas Eve and that the barbecue lunch would kick off about 11am, however people were welcome from 9am.
