She's only 12, but Charlize Materia has gone from being a little helper in Santa's workshop to filling in for the big man himself this Christmas.
For months the Warrnambool resident has been busy producing hand-made Christmas cards in order to raise money and buy toys for children in need.

On Tuesday, a quick trip to Toyworld and $1000 later she dropped off all the presents to Emma House.
Charlize said she never expected to sell more than 400 Christmas cards.
"I had no idea it was going to become this big," she said.
"Originally I thought 170 would be just fine to start off with and I didn't even think I was going to sell that many but as the weeks progressed I sold more and more.
"When we got to the end and we were calculating it, it was pretty insane when I found out we had $1000 to spend. I was so excited."

She said she chose all the toys herself.
"First we went around the store and I had a look at some things that could be cool presents," she said.
"I took a picture of them and kept on walking around the store and then went back to the start and grabbed the trolley and walked around and picked the majority of things we had taken a picture of."
Charlize's mother Sandra said her daughter had made 516 cards in total.
"It's pretty impressive," she said. "She made 170 to start off with and we never thought they would even sell.
"It just went gangbusters. The amount of people who went out of their way to just buy a card or bring in a donation, it was beautiful."
