THIS year Christmas gifts are all about sprucing up the home.

"We've spent so much time at home with lockdowns, people are trying to upgrade and do up their homes," she said.
IN OTHER NEWS:
Harvey Norman Warrnambool second-in-charge of computer sales Steve Walker said home technology items, especially Google and Apple products, that helped people get through COVID-19 lockdowns were being snapped up.
"At this time of the year, with children going into year 7, parents are getting their children iPhones and AirPods," he said.
"The children can happily sit in their room listening to music and ignore mum and dad, or go for a walk."
He said these items had especially been helpful with children studying online.
Mr Walker said bluetooth speakers were popular as they connected to a number of different devices.
"The beauty of the bluetooth speaker is that you can take it outside and anywhere you go, from a picnic, to a friend's house and the beach outside," he said.
When it comes to toys, Toyworld Warrnambool co-owner Peter Sedgley said there was not one specific must-have item this Christmas. But he said a wide-range of Lego products remained a popular choice.
"We just have a really broad range of toys here so we don't specify anything that you must have at all," he said.
"We have an enormous range of toys that people can choose from."
Items that are being purchased include hoverboards, electric scooters and water pistols while board games and outdoor games had also been popular, as well as toy farms and construction vehicles.
