NORTH Warrnambool Eels skipper Nick Butters believes newbies Jack Burke and Nick Robertson are capable of ruffling opposition feathers as the newly-merged club eyes a finals tilt.

Butters told The Standard's cricket show Cow Corner he'd been impressed with the duo's output in recent weeks and felt they could contribute in the back-end of the season.
Burke most recently featured for Warrnambool and District Cricket Association rival Merrivale while Robertson has played for Russells Creek, Nirranda and Allansford-Panmure.
He was most recently a part of the Gators' set-up at Uebergang Oval but made the switch to Bushfield Recreation Reserve in November.
Butters said the duo were finding their rhythm.
"I played a lot of footy with Burkey at North but I actually didn't realise he was a cricketer as such," he said.
"From the first training session we realised he hits a hard ball. He probably hits the hardest ball at the club. It was really nice to see him get a score on the weekend.
"It was the same with 'Robbo', he's definitely picked up a yard since we faced him at Allansford and we'd been trying to get him out there for a while so it was nice to finally get him across."
The multiple premiership captain said North wasn't totally disappointed with its start - its fourth on the ladder at three and two - but had areas to improve.
"Our batting hasn't really clicked at this stage. We've had two scores of 100 and you take out Kory Howlett's score against (Brierly-Christ Church) and that's another score of 100," he said.
"We've had a few injuries and hopefully after Christmas we'll get a few guys back and that'll hopefully strengthen us up."
