He said the man was located at the address and found to be in breach of a family violence intervention order due to being within 100 metres of a protected person.
Detective Senior Constable Lenehan said about two grams of cannabis was located at the property.
He said the man was allegedly identified as one of two men who filmed themselves committing a robbery and an assault on an unknown date.
He said that video was located on a co-accused's phone on October 18 and showed the two men committing an assault on another man before stealing a quantity of cannabis from him.
Detective Senior Constable Scott Lenehan alleged the robbery occurred at an address in Hamilton.
He said the Hamilton man was arrested at the property, conveyed to Hamilton police station where he was interviewed and subsequently charged with robbery, two counts of breaching an intervention order and possessing cannabis.
The man appeared in Warrnambool Magistrates Court on Tuesday where he made an unsuccessful, self-represented bail application.
He will appear in court again on January 24.
