A woman has had a lucky escape after falling from a viewing platform at Peterborough on Tuesday.
A Victoria Police spokesperson said emergency services attended London Bridge Beach near Peterborough's Great Ocean Road after reports of a woman falling from a viewing platform about 8.40pm.
An Ambulance Victoria spokeswoman said the HEMS4 air ambulance winched the victim from difficult terrain.
"Paramedics then treated the person for a lower body injury and the person was taken by road ambulance to Warrnambool Base Hospital in a stable condition," she said.
It comes after two emergency rescues in the south-west on Monday.
A woman, believed to be aged in her 40s or 50s, was spotted about 30 metres from Warrnambool's breakwater about 8pm and was assisted by passer-bys.
She was unresponsive, could not be revived and sadly died at the scene.
Emergency services were also called to Childers Cove just after 8.15pm that night after reports a 37-year-old Timboon man was stranded on a rock ledge.
The struggling diver was taken by PolAir to South West Healthcare, where he remains under observation.
The police spokesperson urged the community to be "mindful of their terrain and conditions when enjoying our rugged coastline".
