They've been the backbone of our Christmas store.
- Louise Serra

Warrnambool's annual community Christmas lunch may not be going ahead this year but there are a number of hard-working volunteers spreading plenty of cheer.
Anglicare Victoria South West community development worker Louise Serra said the group which usually organised the event was offering support in other ways to people who needed it.
In addition to that, Anglicare is offering a special Christmas gift to each person who accessed their services throughout the year.
Ms Serra said the Christmas shop had been running for five years, thanks to a team of volunteers - led by Sue Henry and Pat Saunders.
"They are incredibly hardworking and they've been the backbone of our Christmas store," she said.
"Anyone who has used our services during the year is welcome to come in and select a gift." The drop-in centre offers support to people in need Monday to Friday from 10am to noon.
People can access vouchers to buy meat, boxes of staple food items, fruit and vegetable hampers, blankets, toiletries and vouchers for prescription medication at the relief centre.
The drop-in centre serves a free meal and provides a shower for people who don't have access to one. The centre closes on Christmas Eve and re-opens on January 10.
