The North Warrnambool Eagles footballer is juggling a jam-packed summer schedule which features pre-season commitments under Adam Dowie and cricket duties with North Warrnambool Eels.
Just to add to the intensity, Grundy is part of the division one picture as the Eels look to blood youth in the absence of Luke, Adam and Matt Wines.
"It's good to be back and there's so much of it," he laughed.
"You've got footy training on Monday, Wednesday and then cricket on Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday and then you've got the under 23 footy comp on the Friday night."
It's not just a random signing. He's really keen to earn his stripes at the club.
- Jackson Grundy on Nathan Vardy
Grundy hit the track as North Warrnambool Eagles' ticked off a pre-season session on Monday night.
He said it was exciting to rub shoulders with West Coast premiership player Nathan Vardy, who signed at Bushfield Oval in September.
"He's huge for us," Grundy said.
"He comes from the Smedts family. It's not just a random signing. He's really keen to earn his stripes at the club.

"He wants to be a real club person and that is really good. At training, even the other night, you can tell he's been there and done that with some of the stuff and advice he gives.
"He'll offer a lot with his knowledge of midfield and ruck work and all that kind of thing."
Grundy revealed the Eagles - which are expected to push for a Hampden league premiership in 2022 - were mainly focused on team bonding and a few skills pre-Christmas.
He said many of the players maintained fitness outside training and would keep their cardiovascular condition to a high standard.
Grundy played five division one matches with Woodford this past cricket season, spending the majority of his time in the seconds.
But he told The Standard he was enjoying the challenge of batting number four for the Eels, which are outside the Warrnambool and District Cricket Association's top five on percentage.
Grundy's best knock of the season came in a 42-run haul against Brierly-Christ Church as he supported Kory Howlett en route to a match-winning century.
"Nick Butters has been really good like that (with getting an opportunity)," he said.
"It's been good to bat a bit with him and the likes of Kory."
North Warrnambool Eels will play the undefeated Merrivale on Saturday. The game is scheduled for Merrivale oval.
