Warrnambool's Samantha Kenna has released her second book, Marvellous Moyne, which she describes as a children's travel guide and educational resource all in one.
It follows on from her first book, which centred around the Great Ocean Road.
The book features towns and attractions in the Moyne Shire with a range of activities including puzzles, games, colouring in and fun history lessons to be enjoyed by young readers.
"The first book came to be when we were travelling around the Great Ocean Road and went to the information centre looking for a resource that children could do independently that wasn't a stuffed toy or a screen but we couldn't find anything," Ms Kenna said.
"I wanted to highlight and share all the wonderful things around here.
"There's lots of tours and resources here that families don't realise."
Ms Kenna grew up in Terang, lives in Warrnambool and is a primary school teacher in Port Fairy.
"I just love that there are so many different natural experiences in the area that are really family friendly," she said.
"There are so many wonderful natural attractions here."
The book is available online at thewonderingclassroom.com, and at Collins Booksellers Warrnambool, the Port Fairy Information Centre, The BIG4 Port Fairy and Reicha's Drapery in Terang.
