A woman in her fifties has been taken to hospital after falling from a horse at the Mortlake stockyards.
The incident occurred around 10am on Monday when the horse she was riding was startled by a steer and she was thrown to the ground.
She received upper body injuries and was transferred by ambulance in a stable condition to the Warrnambool Base Hospital.
