Organisers of the annual Very Liebig Christmas event this week are determined to celebrate the season, even if it is scaled down on previous years.
Simply called Sparkle Season, organiser Adele Griffin said she still wanted to inject a sense of joy into the community despite the hurdles with pandemic restrictions.

There will be footpath trading and outdoor dining as well as musical entertainment to coincide with Black Friday on November 26.
Ms Griffin said there would be busking along Liebig Street and bands on the Civic Green between 5pm and 7pm.
"We're encouraging people to get down there and maybe take a picnic blanket and get some dinner and listen to the music," she said.
Hopefully next year we can be back to normal.

The Find Your Voice Collective will be performing at various locations throughout the CBD on the night, but you need to book through their website because people have to fully vaccinated to attend, she said.
"They are doing like a flash mob pop up, they're just going to pop up in spots and go for it," Ms Griffen. To book, got to: findyourvoicecollective.com.
The Christmas tree lights will be turned on and neon lights will also be on display throughout the CBD.
"We went this way because it was a little bit tricky trying to navigate the double vaccination requirements," she said. "Hopefully next year we can be back to normal."
She said while it was not a huge event, it was still something to keep the event going and bring a bit of joy in the lead up to Christmas.
However, there will be no Santa this year with the restrictions posing a challenge.
"We don't want to be in a position where we are telling people who aren't vaccinated that they can't participate in our event," Ms Griffin said.
"Let's celebrate Warrnambool with a little bit of sparkle."
