Warrnambool's Lisa Quattrocchi said her podcast The Strength of Us would be inclusive of all people regardless of gender, race, ability, age and background.

"I also wanted to design a website that links listeners to support networks across Australia, New Zealand and where our listeners will be in the future," she said.

She said the podcast will also include people "who were creating change, living authentically and working with charities and community groups to create more awareness and encourage listeners to reach out."

Ms Quattrocchi has been a teacher for the past 20 years and said she always had an interest in the wellbeing of others.

She has also worked closely with children who have suffered trauma and have had behaviour issues and has specialised in positive behaviour management.

"Now I'm just hearing these adults opening up to me and a lot of them don't know where to get help or they don't understand enough about the issue," she said.

"I'm telling their stories but I'm also showing people where to reach out."

She said the podcast launched on Sunday and attracted more than 100 downloads in the first 24 hours.

She said people were happy to speak on the podcast and share their story.

"We're not getting any no's which is really exciting," she said.

"We really work with integrity and our guests get the final say on what goes out on our podcasts because it's their story, they have total control of it."

Originally from Shepparton, Ms Quattrocchi moved to Warrnambool with her husband last year after following in the footsteps of her mother and sister who moved earlier.

"I'm so happy to be a part of a smaller community again, it's a different vibe and feel," she said.
