Two male teams, juniors and now, a women's team. Not bad for a country club on the cusp of a new era in the Warrnambool and District Cricket Association.
The Cats, who will don a distinctive purple strip this coming summer, are ready to make a mark across all grades.
The club has taken on many of the former Grassmere Cricket Association women's team players and will compete in the WDCA's women's division in a major boost for the farming community to Warrnambool's north.
"It wasn't really something we expected at the end of last season," Cats president David West said.
The club has come a long way in the past few years because we had five or six years where we just had the one senior team.

"The opportunity came up with the Grassmere Cricket Association disbanding. Jason (Elliott) was a big advocate to get the women's side because he coached them last season.
"He had all the connections there which was good as it made it pretty easy."
The women's side will feature in a six-team senior competition which includes Brierly-Christ Church, Nestles, West Warrnambool, Allansford-Panmure and North Warrnambool Eels.

West said the club was also proud of its progress with junior divisions but wanted to keep the momentum rolling.
"Obviously we'd like a few more numbers but we're still going our two sides for this year and hopefully build on that in coming seasons," he said.
"The club has come a long way in the past few years because we had five or six years where we just had the one senior team.
"It's growing pretty well."
West, who plays in Hawkesdale's division two side, said the players were keen to play more turf pitch cricket.
The Cats' three scheduled games on natural turf are at Dennington, Port Campbell and Jones Oval.
"A lot of our bowlers have had a little bit of experience just going to Bendigo Country Week representing the Grassmere Cricket Association," West said.

"It's another big step for them and I'm sure they'll look forward to playing of turf wickets. They'll enjoy the challenge that comes with it I suppose.
"With COVID it's been hard to plan things but with the season coming up and starting in the next few weeks everyone is getting pretty excited around the club."
The four-time Grassmere Cricket Association reigning premier, which has a strong core of players aged between 23 and 29, has been tipped to be competitive in its first WDCA campaign.
