He's getting good numbers at training, there are handy recruits and youngsters are showing promise.
Recruits include Ben O'Sullivan, Heath Anderson (Wangoom), Manoj Kumar (Grassmere), Militha Colonne (Melbourne) and Manjot Sing.

They have since merged to become a new identity.
"It's going really well, we played a year together obviously," Pender said.
"There are a few new faces.
"We have come together well, it took us until the last few rounds to actually get a win last year but this year we should go a lot better."
He said the club had about 40 senior players on the list for this season.
"At the same, we've got a lot of shift workers and blokes in harvest, harvest is the hardest time (to draw numbers)," he said.
The new coach highlighted the club had exciting youth coming through the ranks.
"Look out for the young kids Jackson Hansford and Rory Boswell, they should be up-and-comers, I'd be looking out for them to have a good year and hopefully I can get them into our top side, even though we're playing division three," he said.
"Both can bowl and Jackson is a pretty good all-rounder so hopefully they can have a really good year - that's my plan anyway, they're the future of the club."
Pender will be encouraging his players to hold onto their wickets after batting was problem for the seniors last summer.
"I've gone back to basics a bit because our batting let us down last year and our fielding," he said.
"Our bowling was top notch I reckon.
"Last year, we had a lot of sides in trouble but our batting and fielding let us down.
"So I've back to basics, just bat on ball, everything along the ground.
"Play your natural game but just try and stay in."
Pender played with Woolsthorpe prior to the merger and initially joined as he had family members playing for the club.
