The Magpies have appointed club and Hampden league life member Leah Sinnott to lead the open grade side in 2022.
Sinnott, a school teacher, returns to the club after spending three years with Warrnambool and District league club Timboon Demons.
In her three seasons in charge, the Demons finished fifth in 2019 and second in 2021 while the 2020 was cancelled due to the coronavirus pandemic.
Listen to the latest episode of our weekly podcast The Main Break:
"The Camperdown Football Netball Club is thrilled to announce the appointment of Leah Sinnott as open netball coach for season 2022," the club wrote in an announcement on Facebook.
"As we all know, Leah has been a long-time player and previous coach of our club, and we are delighted to welcome her back to Leura Oval following a coaching stint at the Timboon Demons.
"With plenty of playing and coaching experience under her belt, we believe Leah's tactical knowledge and game sense along with her ability to nurture and develop our juniors, as well as get the best out of the senior players, will be the perfect mixture for our playing group.
"We also believe her appointment will give us the best opportunity to lay the foundations for what we hope is a strong and prosperous future and to enjoy extended success across a number of aspects on the netball court."
The club confirmed the playing group was informed of Sinnott's appointment earlier this week and reported it was excited about her return.
"We congratulate Leah on her new role and looking forward to seeing her back in the black and white next year!" the club wrote.
Sinnott has played more than 300 games for the Magpies and was runner-up to former teammate and recently-retired club legend Tracey Baker in 2012 league best and fairest.
She was also a joint runner-up in 2013 with Port Fairy's Sarah Moroney when Portland's Lauren Hockley saluted. In 2017 she was again a runner-up when Koroit's Jess O'Connor won.
The experienced netballer and mentor led the club to back-to-back A grade/Open netball grand final appearances in 2015 and '16. They were beaten by North Warrnambool Eagles and Port Fairy.
The club is still searching for its maiden top grade netball premiership. The Magpies have appeared in eight grand finals since the netball started in 1987.
