The popular local trainer looked on hopelessly as his talented filly Fortunate Kiss had no luck running fifth in the $1 million Thousand Guineas at Caulfield on Wednesday.
Bowman saddles up Begood Toya Mother in Saturday's $200,00 Moonga Stakes at Caulfield and hopes his luck has turned around.
Bowman said it was a tough watch seeing Fortunate Kiss in Wednesday's feature.
"It was just a bad watch," he told The Standard. "Fortunate Kiss just had no luck. I've watched the race three times and it gets no better so I've decided not to watch the race again.
"We may take Fortunate Kiss to Moonee Valley on Cox Plate Day but it all depends how well she pulls up.

"I've got my fingers crossed Begood Toya Mother brings some good luck to the stable. He's in super order.
"I couldn't get Begood Toya Mother any better. His last run to run second was sensational. I thought he might have just held on but Chaillot caught us on the line."
Bowman is hoping Begood Toya Mother's record at Caulfield holds him in good stead for the 1400-metre race.
"Begood Toya Mother has a great record over the distance and at Caulfield," he said.
"I'm expecting he should land one-one in the run which is the perfect spot."
Warrnambool-born jockey Declan Bates rides Begood Toya Mother.
Daniel Moor has been booked to ride Young Werther in the $5 million Caulfield Cup while Warrnambool-based hoop Declan Bates is on Quick Thinker in Saturday's main race on the ten event program.
