The Bulldogs on Wednesday unveiled Wil Pomorin as their latest recruit, luring the 28-year-old from Hampden league club South Warrnambool.
Panmure mentor Chris Bant said Pomorin was an exciting midfielder.
He said the two - who were teammates at Terang Mortlake in prior years - had reconnected over the past summer while Bant's Allansford-Panmure was playing Pomorin's Wesley-CBC.
"He's a quality player. We're happy to have him for sure," Bant said.
We probably haven't had a lot of leg speed so it'll be good to add that.

"He's a genuine midfielder. He'll play as an inside midfielder but he also has that leg speed and adds a bit of class with his skills.
"We probably haven't had a lot of leg speed so it'll be good to add that into the side." Bant said Pomorin, who played six times as a Rooster this past season, was ready to take a step back from the demands of Hampden league football. He said the player's age profile meant he'd bring more experience to the group.
The fourth-year leader said the rest of Panmure's senior side had recommitted ahead of 2022 and more recruiting was in the works.
"I've spoken to our full list and it seems they're ready go again," Bant said.
"That's a good sign that we're doing something right, that blokes are wanting to play and not going anywhere else.
"We'll hopefully add three or four more players and hopefully we'll be up there again." Panmure finished fourth in 2021, boasting an eight and five win-loss record.
The Bulldogs would've played South Rovers in an elimination final but COVID-19 restrictions meant the season was shot down early.
