The Cobden goal attack notched up a mammoth 18 votes to hold off second-placed Tayla Bell (Terang Mortlake) and Hannah Gleeson (Koroit) in the 13 and under reserves on Saturday.
Compton, who lives in Colac, is intrinsically linked to the club. Her mother has ties to Bomberland while her uncle, Gregory Collins, is a football premiership player.
Compton said it was a shock to take out the award.
"It's so strange, I definitely wasn't expecting this," she said.
"We're from Colac but my mum grew up in Cobden with her parents and siblings.
"My uncle played there for so many years and we came back because we love the club and the environment around it."
She said she was honoured to take out the prize.
