The Old Collegians talent (30) edged out Kolora-Noorat's Sophie Curran (29) by one vote in a nail-biting finish on Thursday night. Butters was simply grateful to be back on the court in 2021 after coronavirus wiped out the 2020 season.
"We had a pretty good season on our team. We finished third but it was annoying with COVID, stopping and starting," she said.
"It was really good to be back and playing again, even if we didn't play our full season. It was definitely good to play."
