Pyke confirmed the undefeated Rangers' season, which saw them concede just one goal in 10 games, was called off on Sunday by the BDSA's board.
The league decided not to crown league champions due to a number of teams throughout its divisions still being capable of claiming the title.
Individual awards like the best and fairest and golden boot will still be awarded, meaning striker Ryan Bail will claim the latter.

The playing coach, who is also president, said uncertainty created by coronavirus restrictions and around when teams could play again was behind the league's decision to cancel.
Pyke said his team, which was a strong chance to be both league champions and premiers, was disappointed it couldn't complete the season.
The goalkeeper said he held out hope its 2021 campaign could resume in October but understood and respected the final decision.
"It's disappointing not being able to get those last couple of games and finals in and it's frustrating but such is the nature of 2021 and we'll roll with the punches and come back stronger in 2022," he said.
Pyke said he couldn't have asked for a better year from his side, which scored 51 goals in 10 games. He added it was rewarding to see progress.
