Brooke Brown has returned to the Ballarat-based outfit and will replace Damian Ross in the organisation's regional talent operations lead role from November 1.
Brown, who started at the Rebels as a statistician, team manager and welfare manager before moving to a talent operations role at the Bendigo Pioneers, said it was an honour to take on the top job.
NAB League Manager for Country Lee Fraser said Brown was a stand out candidate for the position after a decade-long involvement in the country's peak junior development program.
"Brooke is primed to take the GWV Rebels region forward," he said.
She understands the history of the region and its place in the Victorian Talent Pathway as a significant contributor to building better footballers and better people.

"She understands the history of the region and its place in the Victorian Talent Pathway as a significant contributor to building better footballers and better people."
Fraser said Brown had several key attributes and would be a strong fit for the program.
"Brooke has demonstrated the attributes we look for and shows an unwavering commitment to the NAB League boys and girls programs," he said.
"She is an excellent football person and has an incredible ability to connect with all players, families and staff."
Brown's role at the Bendigo Pioneers will be advertised shortly.

"It's exciting to be able to come back to the GWV Rebels - a place that gave me my first opportunity within an elite pathways program," Brown said.
"To be able to pay it forward and give back to the region is something that I am extremely excited about and will take great pride in.
"I am excited to continue to give opportunities to both boys and girls throughout the region and ensure that they are able to grow as not just a footballer but also a valuable member of their local communities."
The NAB League pre-season will officially commence in November for girls and boys.
