Moor, a former student at Warrnambool College, described the Trent Busuttin and Natalie Young-trained Forgot You as an improving horse after the three-year-old beat Sandy Prince and Sunfall in the race over 1500 metres.
"I've always had a good opinion of Forgot You," he told The Standard.
"I've rode him in four of his five starts and I knew he's just needed a bit of time to mature. I was confident he would be hard to beat on the back of his first-up run at Flemington.
He's going to improve once he gets out in distance. I thought he hit the line very well. He should be competitive in some of the feature distance three-year-old races in the spring.

The father of two, who travels to Cranbourne from his Essendon home early in the morning twice a week to ride trackwork for the Busuttin-Young stable found time to acknowledge the hard work put in by Warrnambool jockey Declan Bates.
"I usually leave home at 2.50am in the morning twice a week to ride work for Trent and Nat," Moor said. "It's not too bad to be travelling at that time of the morning.
"It takes about an hour to get to Cranbourne from Essendon. Driving to race meetings around the state can be very taxing I watch what Declan does each week and I just think he does a tremendous job going from Warrnambool to other parts of the state to ride in races.

"The travelling is a massive commitment especially when you travel from Warrnambool."
Moor said he's looking forward to riding for the Busuttin-Young stable and the Matthew Ellerton-Simon Zahra yard plus other trainers over the spring.
"Trent and Nat have been great supporters of mine and I'm grateful for their support," he said.
"They have a nice team of young horses in the stable and I'm lucky to be there to ride some of them and I also get great support from Matt and Simon and a group of other trainers."
Forgot You took his stake earnings to more then $90,000 with Saturday's win.
