"No matter how we conduct the finals series, and you could do something simple like the top four play over two weeks, in times of so much uncertainty there needs to be an end point for all this time and energy we've put in over two years for one season," she said.
"I hope as a league and all clubs, because in the end it comes down to clubs individually, involved to make sure there is an end point to this season and clubs have the decision on if that happens or not.
"It could be crowdless and we could have live streams. The world is changing and we have to adapt ways and means and still be able to celebrate the season.
"I have every faith there'll be some sort of finals series. It (the season) needs a full stop. It could be a two-day 1v4 and 2v3, like the junior format, and make sure it gets done as people need a conclusion."
Battistello's side was to play Koroit in a pre-finals test in the last round of the Hampden league's home and away season before it was cancelled on Friday as regional Victoria prepared to enter another lockdown on Saturday.
The state is under lockdown until September 2.

The Roosters had locked in second spot the week before with a win over Camperdown and with Warrnambool narrowly losing to North Warrnambool Eagles.
Battistello said her side, which is expected to play Warrnambool if the current finals structure continues when restrictions are eased, would be ready to go.
"Our team comes out and plays well after lockdowns and we've had some of our biggest wins after lockdowns," she said.
"So it's good for us but also no one wants to be in lockdown. We'll stay connected and keeping our trainings running via Zoom or people doing their own individual stuff.
"It is disappointing we couldn't play but as far as we are concerned there is still a grand final to play and we want to win it so it is not over until it's over."
Battistello said her side was starting to find form again after having a number of plateaus during the season.
The Roosters' division two, three, 17, 15 and 13 and under sides are also preparing to play finals.
