Airports in Hamilton, Portland and Colac have received $840,000 in federal government funding to upgrade facilities.

Member for Wannon Dan Tehan said the works at Wannon airports would assist in undertaking essential works, promoting aviation safety and access for regional Australians.
"The upgraded airport facilities will help to meet the needs of both the community and local industry," he said.
"Our local airports provide an essential transport link with the rest of Australia, and these works will maintain these important assets now and into the future."

Hamilton Airport will get $300,000 for runway works.
Portland Airport will receive $250,000 to replace security fencing and access gates.
Colac Airport will get $290,000 to extend the sealed taxiway and create a new entrance for emergency services use, fencing and lighting works.
"Every dollar spent on local infrastructure is a dollar well spent and I look forward to working with the community to deliver this vital funding as we continue recovering from the pandemic," Mr Tehan said.
