NATHAN Sobey embraced a chance to play extended minutes for Australia in an Olympic warm-up game against Nigeria, scoring 15 points.
The Warrnambool export was given added responsibility in the absence of NBA-calibre teammates Patty Mills, Matthew Dellavedova, Joe Ingles and Aron Baynes who were rested.

Sobey played 21 minutes as the Boomers dismantled Nigeria - their first opponent at the Tokyo Games - 108-69 in Las Vegas on Wednesday.
The Brisbane Bullets guard dished off five assists and reeled in four rebounds as the Brian Goorjian-coached side made it three straight wins at the America-based series.
Chris Goulding - one of Sobey's opponents in the NBL - top-scored with 21 points while Duop Reath, who plays in the Euroleague, had 17.
The Australians, who are third on the FIBA world rankings, have also defeated Argentina and Team USA as they finetune for Tokyo.
