ALMOST three months after the devastating Black Saturday bushfires, Pomborneit district farmers are still repairing the damage.Kilometres of charred posts and broken fences need to be replaced as those affected try to put their farming operations back to normal.Among the many volunteers to help clear debris are Warr- nambool College VCAL students who grabbed hammers and wirecutters last week."They are keen to help the community and offer their skills," VCAL co-ordinator Judith McNamara said."The Warrnambool region was spared during the latest fires. This makes our area feel thankful and want to help people who were not so fortunate."The students hope to offer their assistance with more visits to the affected farms.
