NATHAN Sobey and his Australian teammates are highlighting their Olympic medal credentials after stunning Team USA in a practice game on Tuesday.
A Patty Mills-inspired Boomers defeated the Dream Team in Las Vegas 91-83.
It followed their one-point victory against Argentina in the first of three warm-up games.
Sobey, who got on the court against a star-studded American roster, will represent Warrnambool at the Tokyo Games later this month.
He played 2.53 for one rebound and one assist.
He also had minutes against Argentina.
Australia was nine points down against Team USA at half-time.
The Boomers rallied and produced a 19-6 scoring run late in the third term.
Chris Goulding scored a three-point buzzer-beater to put the Aussies, who are third on the FIBA world rankings, up 69-64.
The Brian Goorjian-coached Boomers were locked in an 80-all battle midway through the fourth term before storming home.
