THREE Hampden league sides have secured overall victories at the Netball Victoria Western Region Association Championships in Ballarat on Sunday.
The 13 and under side, led by Marie Wall, won all 10 of its pool games at the tournament before winning its semi-final against the Warrnambool and District league (18-2) and the decider against Ballarat (26-8).
Wall said everything came together for her side on the day.
"We had height and speed and it worked perfectly, they just gelled," she said.
"I couldn't believe what they put together as we had four trainings, and we were always happy with that, but they stepped up to another level."

Wall, who was assisted by Dot Jenkins, praised the work of defenders Indi O'Connor, Indiana Cameron and Elsie Sinnott after they conceded just 35 goals over the 12 games. The side scored 251 goals in attack.
Stacey O'Sullivan's 15 and under side also went undefeated in the round robin stage and defeated Central Highlands (31-6) and Ballarat (16-10) in the semi-final and grand final.
"I was lucky to be able to rotate everyone and use the whole 13 platers," O'Sullivan said. "That was the key to it in the end. I didn't have fatigue as an issue and everyone did their role and played very well.
"The whole day we changed every half so we had different combinations, everyone got a go and we had a nice even spread of players who played well."
The 17 and under side, coached by Jess O'Connor, lost just the one game as they stormed to victory in a one-goal thriller against Ballarat, which finished 17-16.
All three teams finished on top of their respective ladders.
Two of the Warrnambool and District league's sides made the finals with its 13 and under and 13 and under reserves sides both progressing through to the semi-finals.
Sara Quinn's 13 and under side, which finished in fourth after the round robin matches, was eventually beaten by the Hampden league (18-2).
Tanya Suggett's 13 and under reserves side, which finished third, was defeated by Maryborough Castlemaine District (9-3) in its semi-final.
