Jack Block and Sam Cozens have put together strong performances in the reserves and under 18.5s respectively to earn their spot to face Hamilton Kangaroos this Saturday.
"These boys have deserved it for while but haven't had the opportunity to get them in," he said. "After training in the meeting the boys were really excited for these two to get their opportunity.
"There's still potentially a few more we'd like to get in need so we could get more debutants and there's some boys who have played in the past coming back into form or from injury that we're keen to get in.
"To bring in a few new faces is good and has been very pleasing."

McLaren said Block had been knocking down the door for some time but a pre-season injury meant he had to wait for his chance.
"Jack's probably one of the top three best field kicks in our club and he has amazing ability when kicking the footy," he said.
"We have been keen to get him into the team for a while. Last year was his first year out of under 18 footy and he was going well this summer but injured a shoulder and missed a far chunk of the pre-season.
"He has been building his strength and played most of the games now and it was a bit of a timing thing so we're happy to get Jack in there.
"He's a versatile on-baller in the reserves but he'll play across half back in the seniors but he could definitely go through the midfield and wings."
McLaren said Cozens' journey to his senior opportunity was similar to Block's.
"He has been unlucky not to have played earlier because he was in super form in the under 18s and is someone we are happy to have after a couple of spots opened up," he said.
