Warrnambool basketball exports Nathan Sobey and Trevor Gleeson have been honoured at the NBL's Andrew Gaze MVP Awards on Wednesday night.

Sobey secured his maiden All-NBL first team selection alongside Perth Wildcats' Bryce Cotton and John Mooney, Illawarra Hawks' Tyler Harvey and Melbourne United's Jock Landale.
Mooney, Harvey and Landale were also first timers while Cotton secured his fourth consecutive selection in the honorary team.
Gleeson won the Lindsey Gaze Trophy for coach of the year after leading the Wildcats to a sixth grand final series in eight years.
"It does mean a lot. It's a really good reflection on our coaching staff here and our players, who have had an outstanding year with the journey we have had," he said on ESPN's coverage of the awards.
"It is really a reflection on our performance for the year so thank you very much it is much appreciated to have the Lindsey Gaze trophy.
"Special thank you to my wife and family for all the late nights and away trips and thank you for supporting me."
Sobey, who was also nominated for the Andrew Gaze MVP, scored the second most points in the competition behind Cotton. He was also ranked eighth for assists.

The Brisbane Bullets' guard played 36 games and averaged 21.06 points, 4.75 assists and 4.94 rebounds a game as the Bullets finished sixth. His points per game and rebounds were career bests.
Sobey was the NBL's most improved played in 2017 and is a two-time All-NBL Second Team (2017, 2019) member.
Gleeson, who last won the NBL coach of the year in 2011 with the Townsville Crocodiles, led the Wildcats to second with 25 wins and 11 defeats.
The five-time championship winning coach led the Wildcats to first place in the inaugural NBL Cup.
Implementing his trademark style of play, Gleeson's side finished the regular season inside the top three for both offensive and defensive efficiency.
He recently led the Perth Wildcats to their 35th consecutive finals appearance and will led them in their sixth grand final in eight seasons after defeating the Illawarra Hawks 2-1 in the semi finals series.
The Wildcats will play Melbourne United, which finished top of the ladder, in the first game of the grand final series in Perth on Friday.
In February, the Warrnambool export coached the Wildcats for the 231st time, surpassing Alan Black to set a new club games record.

In the same game he also broke the record for most wins as coach of the Wildcats when he notched up his 146th victory against South East Melbourne Phoenix.
His 250th career win came later that month, becoming just the sixth coach in league history to reach that milestone. He was also the third fastest to do it at 424 games.
In April, the former Warrnambool Seahawks mentor also coached his 250th Wildcats game while in May, he recorded his 450th NBL game as a coach.
