TOP Warrnambool apprentice jockey Laura Lafferty is anxiously awaiting more scans on her shoulder and knee possibly on Tuesday after suffering a heavy fall at Swan Hill on Friday.

Lafferty, 22, fell from Ronniejay, as the galloper crashed through the running rail in the final race on the opening day of the three-day carnival.
The talented sportswoman was admitted to the Swan Hill hospital after the fall where x-rays showed no broken bones before being released on Saturday morning. She was re-admitted to the hospital on Saturday evening.
"I was in a lot of pain late on Saturday evening so I went back to the hospital," Lafferty told The Standard.
"The doctors have sorted it all out so I checked out on Sunday morning. The paramedics on-course and the staff at Swan Hill hospital were wonderful.
"The fall was just bad luck on one hand but on the other hand it could have been a lot worse. My right shoulder is very sore and so is my knee.
"The good news is I have no breaks. The Victoria Jockeys Association, headed by Matt Hyland, have been sensational.
"I've had a lot of phone calls and messages and I wish to thank everyone for their help and support."

Lafferty's dad Peter, who was also in Swan Hill, travelled back to Melbourne with his daughter where she will be accessed by Racing Victoria doctor Gary Zimmerman at the Epworth Hospital on Tuesday.
"I'll be travelling back to Melbourne with dad," she said. "I'm hoping to have more scans on my shoulder and knee on Tuesday.
"I've been very sore especially in my shoulder area. I may have torn or strained some ligaments or tendons. I'll wait and see what Gary has to say after he's seen all the scans.
"I'm not sure how long I'll be in Melbourne but I'll be going back home to Warrnambool for a rest before I start riding again."
The former Emmanuel College student recently rode her first metropolitan winner.
