The 15 riders - Phil Anderson, Simon Gerrans, Rob Crowe, Tim Decker, Tommy Nankervis, Drew Ginn, David Sturt, Brendan Rowbottom, Duncan Murray, Ryan Brodie, Tim McGrath, Lee Turner, Mark Ferguson, Anthony Somers and organiser Craig Fry - started a GoFundMe page to raise money to support junior cycling in the region.
The $4000 they raised from the 330-kilometre ride last December was given to the Warrnambool Cycling Club to support junior cyclists in the city, which went specifically to the Royal Bikes Junior Cycling Squad.

"It all adds up especially when it gets to attending larger events.
"Because of COVID we haven't been traveling interstate but those that want to go to national level racing it will help them with higher level racing and it will be very good because it starts to get costly."
