Grant is assistant coach, along with Tayla Morley, to Tigers' mentor Lauren Hockley and is taking the open grade side's training sessions every week.
And so far it's been a great start to life as a coach for the midcourter.
"It's very rewarding," the 26-year-old told The Standard.
"The girls have been very supportive of the decision made at start of season.
"They have welcomed me as a coach as well as player. It's handy we have a great group of girls and they chime in with their thoughts as well.
"I feel like this year co-coaching with Lauren is a stepping stone for that (coaching a side) and Lauren is a netball head with a lot of knowledge which could enhance my chances of coaching by myself."
The Drew Gleeson Legal secretary said the connection she and Hockley had built over many seasons helped significantly with the coaching of the side.

"She relies on me at training with drills and trying to incorporate as much into training for us to work on for game days," she said.
"She does ask me stuff and comes to me when she is making a change and asking if it's a good idea. We can bounce off each other and get each other's ideas.
"I had Lauren as a junior coach and as a senior player we have played together for four years.
"We understand each other and there is no tippy-toeing and we say how we feel and what will and won't work and we don't have conflict with regards to that.
"It's good to have someone else's thoughts and have someone's input. Lauren his good for that."
The Tigers, who have two wins and three losses so far this season, play an undefeated Cobden this weekend at Hanlon Park at a revised time of 3.15pm.
The other revised netball game times for Saturday's matches between the Tigers and Bombers are 12pm for 17 and under and 13 and under, 1pm for 15 and under and division two, 2pm for division one and 17 and under reserves and 3pm for division three.
