The Cats are sitting on the bottom of the Warrnambool and District league ladder but there have been plenty of positives this season.
The likes of 17 and under players Maddie Drake and Lilly Singleton have earned A grade minutes and impressed the coach.
"She only started playing two or three years ago," Foster said of Singleton.
"She's one of those young girls who is easy to teach."

Singleton, who made her A grade debut earlier this season, will line up at wing defence on Saturday against Dennington at Allansford Recreation Reserve.
Otherwise, Foster said Sally Bond was back for her first A grade game in about two years.
She plays goal keeper or goal defence.
The Cats will be without experienced centre Sophie Bellman who is unavailable.
Foster explained she was unavailable about every fortnight due to work.
So the versatile Georgia Martin has often been playing centre in her absence.
Foster said Martin was very fit, had good skills and plenty of netball smarts.
Allansford has lost to three of the top six sides and has taken plenty of lessons from the opening rounds of the season.
Foster's realistic about where the young and new-look Cats are at and said building consistency was another focus.
